Who we are
We are the Becks. Born and raised in northern Baltimore County, we didn't make it very far from home. We have been married 18 years and live in Freeland, Maryland with our 3 children. Over the last several years we have collaborated with good friends & neighbors to provide the community with quality, rotationally grazed lamb for your table.
What we do
We work hard to rotationally graze our sheep moving them to new pastures every 3 days. As a forage-based operation, we prioritize soil health and good stewardship of both land and animal. We grow great grass to produce great meat. Growing up I was often told "If you take care of the ground, it will take care of you." so that is what we work to do.
What we believe
We believe that everything we have and are able to do is a gift from God. This includes family, farming, jobs, home, and opportunities. Of all the gifts that we have been given, the greatest is Salvation through Jesus Christ. Because we have received this gift we believe that we are to live in a way that is pleasing to the Lord (though we often fall short). We give all the honor, glory and credit to Him so that others may hear and know of His goodness.
Titus 3:4-7
3 At one time we too were foolish, disobedient, deceived and enslaved by all kinds of passions and pleasures. We lived in malice and envy, being hated and hating one another. 4 But when the kindness and love of God our Savior appeared, 5 he saved us, not because of righteous things we had done, but because of his mercy. He saved us through the washing of rebirth and renewal by the Holy Spirit, 6 whom he poured out on us generously through Jesus Christ our Savior, 7 so that, having been justified by his grace, we might become heirs having the hope of eternal life.
Psalm 145:11 & 12
They tell of the glory of your kingdom and speak of your might, so that all people may know of your mighty acts and the glorious splendor of your kingdom.
